About SEOguru.co.za

To SEO or not to SEO? Is that a question?
I registered this domain back in 2011 when I am started to experience deja vu. I had come across so many people who were claiming to be SEO gurus, that it reminded me of the heady days when we first started developing HTML websites, and all of a sudden, everyone knew someone who has an HTML “expert” or guru. Snake-oil salesmen, it appeared did not become extinct in the wild-west.
Deja Vu
Despite having involved myself in the SEO game and learning (mainly through trial and error), it simply astounds me at the number of SEO “guru’s” I met over the last 6 months (hence that horrible feeling of deja vu). I have even just recently gone on an SEO course! Hell, did I get the surprise of my life…
These are the questions I have asked myself:
- Where have all these experts come from?
- Why do they charge a fortune and are not really accountable?
- Why do they insist on using every TLA (three letter acronym 😉 possible?
- Why is it that so few people can differentiate between SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and PPC (Pay-per-Click)?
Having been thoroughly irritated, I have decided to actually do something with this website (one of which will be SEO’ing it), but also to start a series of weekly posts that will hopefully generate traction within their own right and create discussion.
And yes … I am available for consulting work in Johannesburg South Africa.
P.S. I am not a guru, just someone who understands the medium and won’t put the fear of God into you when we discuss your requirements.
